That is great that you are doing the survey pre, during and post. Make sure you make a note to yourself and don't forget to do the second and third surveys. We all know how caught up we can get in the middle of school!
Also - please let me know how the conferences go with students. I would love to hear how you make time for and what the student's reactions are to having this 1:1 time with you.
You've drafted good questions for your surveys. That's much more difficult than one might expect.
I think the personal conferences will be quite meaningful to your students. I'm envious. I teach so many students that I can't imagine this ever happening.
As Michael noted, your time to create and think about your questions are evident. Your students will be very impressed (maybe later in life!) with the time you spend with them during the interviews. You will leave so much during the interview. I can't imagine being able to do this with 2nd graders, so I'll love to hear what it is like!
